Summary
Catlytic is a publication. It does not require an account, and it does not ask for personal information to read anything on it.
Information collected
- Analytics. Where traffic measurement is in use, it collects aggregate statistics — pages viewed, referring site, country, device type — to show which articles are useful. It is not linked to a named individual by this site.
- Newsletter. If a newsletter is offered and you subscribe, your email address is stored by the email provider for the sole purpose of sending it. Every message contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes the address.
- Email you send us. Retained so we can reply and, in the case of corrections, keep a record of what was raised.
What is running right now. As of August 19, 2026 this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. It records the page, the referring site, a coarse country and a device category — nothing that identifies a person. There is no newsletter provider, no advertising, and this site sets no cookies of its own. This paragraph changes when that changes.

Third-party advertising, including Google AdSense, may be served on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites.

Some articles may contain affiliate links, which pay this site a commission if you sign up for a product. Where they are used, a disclosure appears at the top of that article, as required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Affiliate relationships do not influence the figures reported, which come from filings.
Your rights
You can request a copy of, or deletion of, any personal data this site holds about you by emailing contact@catlytic.com. Requests are honoured regardless of where you live.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the newsletter.
